Hey, I’m Natalie.
I’m a learning designer who turns ideas into interactive learning experiences. This portfolio is a collection of my work, where design, accessibility, and innovation meet.
Kessler Syndrome Primer
A 15-minute interactive eLearning module built in Storyline 360 that turns a complex aerospace topic into a realistic, mission-based simulation. Learners make critical decisions in real time while exploring the science of orbital debris through accessible, scenario-based design.
Case Studies
These are the flagship projects I created this past year while entering the field of learning design. Each project in this collection represents a complete learning design journey—from analysis and prototyping to reflection and refinement. Through these case studies, I share how I apply instructional theory, accessibility standards, and creative problem-solving to craft meaningful learning experiences.
DaVinci Resolve Integration Course
A step-by-step micro-course that teaches educators how to edit videos in DaVinci Resolve and embed them in Canvas. This project showcases my ability to design hands-on, media-rich instruction that blends technical skill-building with clear pedagogical structure.
Articulate Rise 360 Microlearning Module
A rapid eLearning challenge built in one hour to evaluate Articulate Rise 360’s speed, accessibility, and functionality. This project demonstrates my ability to design concise, mobile-responsive learning experiences under tight deadlines while maintaining visual consistency and learner engagement.
My Approach
Foundation
I approach learning design with a balance of creativity and evidence-based practice. Every decision, from layout to interaction, is grounded in sound pedagogy and accessibility principles, ensuring that all learners can engage meaningfully. I prioritize clarity, inclusion, and alignment with measurable learning outcomes, ensuring that each design choice serves a clear instructional purpose.
Refinement
My process is highly iterative and detail-oriented. I move fluidly between research, prototyping, and user feedback to refine each design until it feels intuitive, cohesive, and impactful. Whether I’m scripting a scenario, structuring a course flow, or fine-tuning visual elements, I strive to create experiences that are not only functional but also memorable, where design and learning work seamlessly together.
What Others Say
I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible colleagues, mentors, and supervisors who have shaped my journey as an educator and learning designer. Their feedback reflects the values I bring to every project—collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to learner success. Click here to view my recommendation letters.

Faculty Member, ASU LDT Program
“Natalie has the rare ability to translate complex instructional goals into experiences that feel intuitive and inspiring.”
Instructional Design Peer Reviewer
“Not one to shy away from a more difficult path, Natalie chose to build an eLearning module on the Kessler Syndrome – a much tougher lift than other options, like the Vermiculture design case. This was a challenging project, and Natalie demonstrated a strong understanding of the design case, allowing her to assemble an eLearning module that incorporated learning objectives, sequenced instruction, assessments, visual assets, audio narration, and user interactions. It was quite evident in the design choices she made that she carefully implemented design principles to allow her learners to navigate through learning objects in a purposeful way.”
Faculty Member, ASU LDT Program
“Natalie consistently goes above and beyond to make learning accessible and engaging for every student. Her attention to detail is unmatched.”
